For Easter this year, I celebrated it the catholic way (lots of chocolate eggs) and then a week later celebrated it with my boys orthodox family.
His mum taught me how to decorate eggs the old fashioned way. I think they are amazing!
She collects onion peel in a big bucket and then when Easter rolls around she picks fresh parsley, puts it on a normal egg, wraps it in hosiery and then drops it in boiling water with onion peel. Leave for about 10 minutes and then voila! The onion acts as a natural colouring for the egg.
