Stepping back into the 1950's

Recently for the Melbourne Cup Carnival I decided to dress abit differently than normal, and be very lady like and demure.
My mum made me a dress of a vintage 1950's pattern, we had a few dramas, apparently back in the day I would have been a size 12, but in todays society I am a size 6, so I bought the wrong pattern and she had to alter it bit by bit.

I had a fascinator made, which did not turn out how I wanted it so had to buy a new hat at the last minute.

Lace gloves, pearls and a french roll completed my look.
