Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) termed the government’s resolution on Abbottabad's raid as weak, demanding the government to present the budget of secret agencies and army in Parliament.
While addressing a press conference on Saturday after meeting with US Ambassador Cameron Munter, PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif urged that an independent commission be formed on the issue.
“Terrorism has weakened our economy bitterly.” “This country is not of a man (President Zardari), but of 170 million people. The ruling government has given nothing to the nation but gloom,” he added.
Nawaz said he was in contact with Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan during the in-camera session on the Abbottabad raid.
“Why does the government allow drone attacks? Why is our soil used for drones?”
PML-N's chief said martial law was not imposed in Pakistan by the military but, he added, just by four military officials.
“The US should be seriously aware of Pakistan’s concerns. Pakistan has given more sacrifices but our sovereignty was violated,” he added.
He said Parliament must play its role positively and effectively.
