Pakistan will now face world champions Australia in the final to be played at the Azlan Shah stadium on Sunday.
Pakistan took the lead in the eighth minute with Sohail Abbas scoring through a penalty corner, with the second goal coming in the 21stminute.
Malaysia scored their first goal in the 35th minute.
Pakistan’s final goal came in the 51st minute through Shakeel Abbasi, with Malaysia scoring their second in the 57thminute.
Sohail Abbas, Waqas Akbar and Shakeel Abbasi scored a goal each for Pakistan.
Earlier, Pakistan had ended their losing streak by handing a 3-1 defeat to India.
Australia had qualified for the final after securing 13 points from their five games.
