Apple Crumble

This Apple Crumble is beyond delish.
S is not a desserts man and he had seconds.
Ingredients
3 large apples
1/2 cup caster sugar
1tsp ground cinnamon
Crumble:
1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup coconut
1tbs cinnamon
2tsp nutmeg
2/3 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla essence
Peel and core apples. Cut into rough 1-2cm cubes (Any size works).
Place apples in a large saucepain and cover with water.
Simmer covered with lid on high until apples are tender but not too soft.
Drain apples well and place in large bowl.
Combine caster sugar and cinnamon then toss through the apples.
Combine flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, coconut, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl until evenly mixed through.
Melt butter (do not burn or boil) and add vanilla essence to butter. Stir through.

I had lots of crumble mix left over, so maybe don't use as much as the recipe says. Add butter mix to dry ingredients and mix well. Ensure all ingredients are moist and mixture has a crumble texture.

Please apple mix evenly in dish or ramekins.
Spread crumble mix over top of apple.

Bake at 180 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes or until crumble topping is slightly browned
Mine was in the oven for 15 mins before it started to burn

Serve with vanilla ice cream, cream or custard.
I used cream.

Yummy Yummy Apple Crumble In My Tummy.
