Rain.

Yesterday was the wettest September day in 50 years. Great. The one day that I decide to wear open toe shoes. Okay, that’s a lie – I wear open toe shoes nearly every day.
By the time I sloshed home, my hair was ratty – despite my umbrella, and my shoes were wrecked. I cant think of a better excuse for new shoes.
I had to go out to dinner with Lara at The Atlantic at Crown Casino, and decided to catch a cab. In the rain and traffic it took half an hour, whereas on the way home it took 6 minutes. I timed it.
I am wearing my Review Dress, RMK wedges, Sunnygirl cape & Oroton brolly. My hair is courtesy of Mother Nature and her ability to turn the frizz on like there is no tomorrow.

I got some happy snaps to blog at Atlantic, but after uploading them to the computer (and deleting them from the camera in the process) I was faced with The Blue Screen of DEATH.

I hope they are not gone for ever, like the rest of the damn files. We only got the laptop about 5 months back so it is still under warranty - BUT STILL.

I need a new umbrella. This Oroton one has served me well, since I bought it on April 13 2010 (I blogged about it, hence knowing the date), but I need to live life and spice things up.
My cab driver on the way home said to me “You look like my friend. She was the first female friend I ever had. I haven’t had many since. You both have round teeth. I like round teeth”.

Okay. Maybe you don’t have many female friends because you say people have round teeth? I think he meant that my teeth are curved when I smile, rather than straight across. I don't know actually.

When a car cut us off I said “What a dickhead” and he said “Oh no, don’t swear. You are too nice and innocent looking to swear!!!”.

I gave him a crash course in dealing with females. He failed by guessing I was 25, I am indeed 22. I told him – always tell a woman she looks younger.

Anyway, this cabby was super duper sweet and I loved him. I hope he finds a female companion.

Wedding Day Hair & Make Up at Miss Fox

As you may have already read in my previous post, I had my hair set in curls on the Friday night, and slept in them. I sleep on my tummy usually, but sleeping on my face was a whole new kettle of fish. I would fall asleep and then wake up petrified that I was going to smoosh my face and wake up with creases.

When I tried to sleep on my back, my head just kept bouncing like it was on a trampoline. Odd.

I was pretty stressed out on the Friday night as I was behind schedule by 45 minutes, and hate to be late to appointments. When I got to Miss Fox, Victoria rustled up some nurofens, water and a delicious herbal tea which helped me relax. Miss Fox is my happy place.

These photos are from Saturday Morning....

I don't know why I look so tanned, I had zero fake tan on!
Shirley Temple eat yo' damn heart out.

Cat feeding Henry. He is so cute dammit.

I forgot my veil and Goanna went back for it. I'm so silly. How does one forget their veil when going to have hair done for their wedding?!

Jo gets married on October 7, cannot wait!

All 3 of my sisters chose their own hair styles and make up.

Liz had a fantastic high bun - just like how I wanted my hair originally until S persuaded me otherwise...

Jo & I

I love this shot!!

These bunnies kill me with cuteness.

I was surprised to find out that the make up they use is Mineral Make Up. I always thought Mineral was crap and gave zilch coverage. I stand corrected.

"Hellloooo?"

My dress is from Review, and the flower is a random one that I pinned on...
Mum & I

Luna completing her magic. Seriously, the woman is a genius.

Loving life in my veil!!!!!!! That "Wow, I'm a bride!!!" moment kicks in about now...

I am so, so, so happy with how my hair and make up turned out. It was 100% perfection. I cannot fault a thing.

After having our photos outside my hair was ratty from the wind, so I stupidly brushed it out before the reception and it looked nice for an hour or so, and then after all the dancing, hugging, kissing, people grabbing me etc, I ended up with a birds nest of hair.

I can't say that I cared though!!!! Looking at photos from the end of the night is terrible though, my hair is matted and insane!!!!

Review & Eggs

Happy Anzac Day.

Lest We Forget.

Today is a beautiful day in ol' Melbourne town.

We had a fantastic sleep in until 11am and then headed out for brunch on Little Collins St.

I ordered my standard eggs benedict, and when the waitress bought over eggs with salmon I nearly dry reached. Ever since that night at the Hofbrahaus (click here for that blog post) I have never been able to eat Salmon.

Thankfully they rectified the issue quick smart.

This is the first time I have used this bag since buying it in New York City!

On another note, when the heck is ZARA going to open in Melbourne?

This is how it looked today, and for the last few months. An empty shell.
