Brunch. Fire. Teeth. Speech.

Now that the wedding is over and done with, I need to turn my attention to Fiji. We still have not booked any accommodation yet, flights only. We are not going until November, which sounds ages away but is in less than 2 months!!

I can’t believe how exhausted I have been the last few days. No matter how much rest I get, I am still dead tired. I am struggling to keep my eyes open as I type this.

I figure that I am so tired because I was running on adrenalin and stress in the lead up the wedding, and now my body is crashing and burning.

Remember how nervous I was about my speech? I think S was more nervous, he got a blood nose before his. I chose to do my speech whilst standing at the bridal table, rather than at the lectern where everyone else did theirs.
I was nervous, but I soldiered on.
I covered the important stuff – the thank you messages, and then moved on to how I met S, the gift he bought me after our first argument (a magic 8 ball which answered ‘No’ to my question of whether we would get married), the proposal, and then I said some vows as we did not get to have vows as part of our ceremony.

I got rather choked up during the vows part, and had to swallow back the tears. After my speech, I was told that I had lots of people crying – go me!!

S has requested that I repeat it weekly.

Here is a sneak peak of my speech..

How awesome is this tea cup and saucer that they have at Miss Fox?

You have already seen this Review dress in the photos from my pre-wedding dinner, and I love it. I really need to buy some full length slips as wrap dresses always seem to blow open and reveal my hoohah to the world. Sorry world.

Today I am wearing my favorite Spring dress. It just makes me happy. It's by Basque.

After reading the VF thread on “How to avoid the cookie jar at work” I was thinking about just how many I eat a week. I can’t resist them. Sometimes I make hot chocolates just to dip the cookies into it. Yummo. If it’s not the cookie jar then it’s the salted cashew nuts tub.

Ive been trying to substitute the biscuit tin with Madame Flavour Green, Jasmine & Pear Tea today and so far so good.

I always brush my teeth after lunch, and that usually acts as a eating machine deterrent. At least until the minty freshness wears off which coincides with the 3:00 munchies.

How crazy is this photo? I caught my ring glistening in the sun yesterday and took a photo. I know that my engagement ring has a faint blue fluorescence but I have no idea where this crazy green fire came from. Perhaps my wedders? Anyway, I love it!!! Sparkle on little one, sparkle on.

On Sunday after the wedding S and I went to a little café on Bourke Street for a big breakfast as we slept through the breakfast at The Hotel Windsor.
I was famished. After being on Lite n Easy for 2 weeks, this was right up my alley.

I had a strawberry smoothie after being disappointed that the banana smoothie was taken off the menu. I haven’t bought a banana for ages, I’m not a millionaire you know.
I do enjoy eating the bananas at dads house every time I randomly pop in though.

S asked me to make banana bread a few weeks a go and I asked him if he was ready to mortgage the house for one. He wasn’t.

He has also already nearly lost his wedding ring. At the café (less than 24 hours after getting the ring) he was spinning it on the table and it rolled off and kept on spinning around the floor. I think he needs some back up rings kept in a drawer, who knows how long this one will last.

OH yeah. This is what I'm talking about.

I swapped S the baked beans for his 2 hash browns and it was a perfect breakfast.

Wedding Ring Bling

I picked up my wedding rings last week, and have somehow managed to resist trying them on except for tonight, taking these photos...

I tried them on my left hand, to avoid the bad luck of wearing them on my ring finger before they are blessed.

My engagement ring, wedding bands and S's wedding band.

With this ring, I thee wed.

Next time I decide to attempt to take close up photos, I will remember to clean my ring and moisturise my hands. It's been months since I have cleaned my ring. I still swear by the boiling water, floor cleaner and cloudy ammonia method.

I have had a small space left at the bottom of the rings in case I ever need to have them re sized..

Love these rings so much.

Whilst I have really enjoyed the process of planning a wedding and all, I am not even worried about how it will turn out on the day, I just can't wait to walk up that aisle and marry S.

That poor sucker, being stuck with me, muwahahhahahahaha.

Aquamarines, Diamonds, Morals & Honesty.

Here it is! My new Baby. I have called her Allie.

This is the beautiful 18ct White Gold, 5.55ct Round Brilliant Aquamarine, 0.45ct Diamond ring that S got me as a conversion gift.

Loving the finger coverage!! I love the very light blue colour, as some Aquamarines are more of a topaz blue colour, which I do not like.

The basket, which looks fantastic from this view.

So, this morning the receptionist at work came over to my desk and said "I know you were expecting one package from a jewellers, but not two!!" which confused me to no end.

I ripped open the 2 post packs, and they both contained Aquamarine and Diamond rings.

Only one ring was mine though. We had bought the round brilliant, but whilst in store I had tried on the pear and admired it, before deciding that I liked the bigger round brilliant more.

So, why did they send me both??

I have no freaking idea.

The evil in me really wanted to keep them both.

As soon as I started thinking about keeping both, I felt sick to my stomach.

I won't lie to you, I really did consider keeping them both.

Then, the good in me kicked in. Eventually.

I rang the Jeweller (I will not be posting who it is) and informed them of the mistake, the lady that answered the phone seemed a bit miffed, but not shocked at all. I am sending the ring back tomorrow.

Once I had rang the jeweller the feeling in the pit of my stomach vanished.

I kept thinking 'Someone else might have bought this, and are waiting with as much excitement as I was, and for it never to show up would be terrible'.

The one that was not meant to be...

18ct White Gold, 4.30ct Pear Shaped Aquamarine & 0.40ct of diamonds.

I am glad that I decided to be a good person, and uphold my honesty and morals as knowing me, karma would have come around and bit me on the bum and something would have happened to my Engagement Ring. The horror!!!

Pear.

Bye Bye Pear.

What would you have done, if you knew it could never be linked back to you?

P.S - Sorry about the poor quality photos, my camera settings are playing up.

Newby

S bought me this lovely, lovely, lovely 5.55ct Round Aquamarine ring in white gold, with .45ct of diamonds on the shoulder yesterday as a 'conversion gift'.

I tried to refuse a gift when he mentioned it a month or so a go as I don't need to be bribed, I actually want to convert, but he wanted to show his appreciation of my converting, and this I can appreciate.

He said it was worth buying it for me, just to see me giddy with happiness and smiling ear to ear for the rest of the day!

What can I say, my happiness can apparently be bought. (I kid, I kid)

It is currently being re-sized to fit my stupidly small fingers, and I should have it in my grubby paws in 5-10 days.

I can't wait to take some proper photos of it as this photo does nothing for it's beauty.

I have been wanting a large aquamarine for a while now, in either pear or round as they are the only 2 shapes that I really love, but whenever I found one they were not quite big enough, or the blue was not right, but this little baby is perfection.

Keshett Band

Good ol' S picked up my left hand diamond band on Friday night, and I raced home to try it on to find that he had taken the ring out of the box and hidden it!

I love ring boxes.

Taa Daaa!
I love it.
It is so dainty and delicate.

I have officially moved my engagement ring to my right hand. Orthodox styles.

It has 49 beautiful diamonds the whole way round so S has been calling me '52 diamonds' as he counts my engagement and earrings also.
Wait till I have my wedding bands and then count those huh.

Love it.
I am a very very lucky girl.

Pears

Merry Christmas To Me.

These stunning pears are very much at home in my earlobes :)
