Top Tier

S just went and picked up the last of our loot from The Hotel Windsor, and came back with the top tier of our cake and some more flowers that were on the tables.

Majority of our table flowers were taken by our Mums to be placed on the graves of loved ones.

We were going to freeze the top tier whole, but could not resist cutting 2 slices as we did not eat any on the night. It was delicious! 2 flavours, chocolate fudge/macadamia and white choc/raspberry.

It is now nestled in our freezer.

I want to dry out these roses, how do I do so?

We don't have a laundry as such, it is the same as our kitchen and our only out door area is a balcony with no protection from the elements, 7 floors up.

Our cake was by Cioccolata Bella and tasted divine. I had a few brides-to-be ask me who made the cake, as it was so moist and amazing!!

Creepy.

Unfortunately mine looks nothing like me, but S’s does!!



They are pretty funny. I still like it, even if it looks like S is marrying some other random.

So, if you’ve been wondering what S looks like – wonder no more.

I think they will be good for people to have a giggle at when at the reception.

They wont sit on our cake, its far too beautiful, but will either go on the cake table or the guest book table. Time will tell!

I can't help but love the creepy factor.

Gwen was kind enough to upgrade my postage to FEDEX to ensure that I got them withing 5 days, due to the problems with other postal services at the moment.

Paper Cake Toppers

My stunning Concarta cake toppers are ready and will be shipped to me (fingers crossed they arrive in time!!).

So cute! I love them and cannot wait to see them in the flesh.

Love that S's spiky hair is perfection.

Gwen got our height and builds 100%. I can't believe how well she was able to work from the photos I sent her.

At the time of them being made, I was still having the Vera Wang necklace and buttons down to the floor, but they are minor details that will not matter.

I would love to have these framed in a shadow box after the wedding. They are something that I will keep forever and ever, long after the flowers are dry and the dress has yellowed.

Creepy Cake Toppers!

For those who have been wondering what I am talking about when I say "Creepy Cake Toppers" this is it.

Cake toppers, made to resemble the bride and groom.

I love a little bit of tack.

They will not actually be on the cake, it's far too beautiful for a cake topper, but they will be on the cake table.
I have to send the website (wowminime) pictures of our faces, heigh difference, wedding dress, tux, flowers etc so that it can resemble us as much as possible.

I love that they are ceramic so we can keep them for ever!

I can't deny that they are creepy, but I think that is what makes me love them!!

Flowergirl Dresses - Check!!

I gave up on the Leona Edmiston Flowergirl Dresses. They were beyond impossible to track down.

I bought these cute flowergirl dresses today instead, from David Jones.

The brand is Jesse and they were $109.95.

They match our cake perfectly!! Hurrah. Nothing else does.

I have no skill when it comes to creating Bows but I'm sure someone can tie a lovely one on the day.

Hopefully little Raina and Thomas are walking by September, as they are not yet!!

If not, they can be pulled in a red wagon by the 2 older kiddos.

It feels nice to tick that off my list.
